The Women’s Empowerment Cell (WEC) of Thirumalai Engineering College (TEC) is
committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that empowers women
students and staff to realize their full potential. The cell works towards promoting gender
equality, leadership skills, self-confidence, and social awareness among women.
The WEC organizes various programs such as awareness campaigns, workshops, seminars,
health and hygiene sessions, legal literacy programs, self-defense training, personality
development activities, and motivational talks to address academic, personal, and professional
challenges faced by women.
The cell also provides a platform for addressing issues related to women’s rights, safety,
grievance redressal, and mental well-being, ensuring that women feel secure, respected, and
supported within the campus.
Through continuous initiatives, the Women’s Empowerment Cell of Thirumalai Engineering
College strives to nurture confident, responsible, and socially empowered women who can
contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
